The Outstares, led by visionary artist JAWED, who has been the voice behind every previous release, is set to unveil its another project : “Duaa”. For the first time, JAWED steps aside from singing to present a unique blend of three exceptional vocalists – Kanchan Priya, Tejaswi Raj, and Shuva Banik – brought together under his creative concept to craft a fresh and powerful soundscape.
The official release date will be announced shortly, with the launch expected by late August or early September.
Each Voice a Story, Each Artist a Journey
Kanchan Priya makes her official singing debut with Duaa, delivering a performance that captures the listener’s heart through pure emotion and delicate expression. Her entry marks a significant milestone not just for her but for The Outstares family.
Susmita Palit makes her much-anticipated on-screen debut, stepping into the visual narrative with a presence that is both natural and compelling. Her first performance in front of the camera brings authenticity and depth that elevate the music video to a new level.
Tejaswi Raj, the musical architect behind The Outstares’ sound, arranged Duaa with the same thoughtful creativity he applied to their previous hit Chookar Mere Man Ko. Now stepping into the role of vocalist for Duaa, Tejaswi brings intimate understanding and passion to every note.
Shuva Banik, a versatile singer and composer, lends his rich and distinctive vocal tone to the track, completing the vocal trio with finesse and depth.
Visual Storytelling & Creative Excellence
The music video is directed by Shabnam Yeasmin, who previously directed JAWED’s Chookar Mere Man Ko, weaving cinematic visuals with emotional storytelling. Returning alongside her are Creative Director – Anurag Maitra and Director of Photography – Arabindo Ghosh, both of whom bring their acclaimed artistry from the previous project to Duaa, ensuring a consistent visual language that fans have come to admire.
World-Class Sound & Production
The final mix and master were entrusted to Stefano Ferracin in Italy, who infused the track with international sonic polish, elevating its quality to global standards.
Having completed all production phases, Duaa is currently in the final licensing stage, poised for release.
JAWED’s Vision
Producer and creative mind JAWED explains:
“When Tejaswi first created the track and sent me with his demo vocals, I saved it, planning to sing it myself. But something about his low-octave tone struck me. It had a soft, soothing quality that made the song feel alive in a different way.
I called Kanchan for recording. She was in Dehradun, deep into her university schedule, yet she managed to travel all the way to Kolkata just for the recording. While she was singing, Tejaswi’s voice kept playing in my mind, blending beautifully with hers in my imagination. I wasn’t sure yet, so I decided to focus on the video first, thinking I’d decide later whether to keep his vocals or not.
During the video shoot, with the track playing in the background, it became clear – this song wasn’t just mine to sing. It was meant for Tejaswi and Kanchan’s voices together.
I asked Tejaswi to send me a fresh, clean recording.
Then I called Shuva to re-record the song in high-octave because his voice carries a rare blend of emotion and power.
That night, I stayed in the studio until morning, shaping the final sound with my own ideas. By sunrise, we found the perfect blend of voices and emotions for this track.
Then I forwarded the project to Stefano Ferracinfor final polish.

Duaa follows Chookar Mere Man Ko, which remains The Outstares’ latest video release and enjoyed rapid success, crossing over 4 lakh views shortly after launch. This new release honors that legacy while expanding the label’s creative horizon through vocal innovation and cinematic storytelling.
