PCGT WALKATHON, 2026. Walk and walk for the cause!

Public Concern for Governance Trust (PCGT) is a citizen-led organisation committed to integrity and ethical values, especially among youth. Recently, PCGT organised a student walkathon promoting road safety awareness, responsible behaviour, and strict adherence to traffic rules, nationwide civic responsibility.

The critical need for strict adherence to traffic rules by organising a student-focused Walkathon at Worli Sea Face, highlighted responsible road behaviour as essential to reducing accidents and saving lives in Mumbai.

The Walkathon was flagged off at 7: 15 a.m. by Mumbai’s Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, IAS, and Police Commissioner Deven Bharti, IPS, in the presence of actor Rahul Bose, J.F. Ribeiro (Retd. IPS, Founding Trustee and Chairman of Emeritus) and eminent PCGT trustees – underscoring a strong institutional support for PCGT’s road safety mission.

The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from over 1,100 students participated in PCGT’s Walkathon, with notable representation from ⁠Podar International School, Pragnya Bodhini High School, Vivek College, RD National College, ⁠St. Andrews College, ⁠Sophia College and ⁠Kirti College , reflecting strong youth engagement in road safety advocacy.
