India, 11 February 2026: Weavers Studio presents a special in-store showcase of designs by Purvi Doshi, bringing together hand embroidery, thoughtful material choices, and a distinctly contemporary approach to craft.
Founded in 1993, Weavers Studio has spent over three decades working closely with artisan communities across India, creating garments rooted in textile knowledge, hand processes, and material integrity. Known for its deep engagement with craft traditions such as khadi, jamdani, kantha, shibori, and hand block printing, the studio continues to explore how these practices live and evolve in the present.
Purvi Doshi is a textile-led designer whose work centres on mirror embroidery as both surface and structure. Working primarily with khadi and linen, her designs balance precision with ease, allowing hand embroidery to remain central without overpowering the garment. Her practice reflects a sensitivity to climate, wearability, and the intelligence of craft. The collection showcased at Weavers Studio is welcoming the spring summer – light khadis and linens in soft, sun- washed colours, punctuated by hand-embroidered mirrors that catch and reflect light subtly. Designed for warm days and long evenings, the pieces emphasise comfort, movement, and everyday elegance, while foregrounding the aesthetics and skill of hand embroidery.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to material-led design and slow, considered processes. It embraces a contemporary language of craft—one that remains deeply rooted in tradition while thoughtfully responding to the needs and sensibilities of present-day living.
