Asrava Foundation is building a future-ready generation by empowering 1,100 women students in Odisha with Artificial Intelligence skill development training

Asrava Foundation, was established by visionary Dr Lita Mohapatra (MBBS, MM, MM, FAM, Hon Doc, DLitt in Dermatology (Hon), Serial Entrepreneur, Doctor, Innovator, Alumina Stanford SSS program and the late Prof. Rashmi Misra, MA, MPhil, PhD, (Academician, Philanthropist and Author) is set to launch a transformative Skill Development program in Artificial Intelligence (AI) aimed specifically at empowering women in Odisha. This initiative is not only a response to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the AI sector but also a commitment to fostering gender equality in technology.

Founder Dr Lita states “Women’s empowerment promotes a sense of self-worth, an ability to determine one’s own choices, and a right to influence change.” With this mission and vision the program will target 1,100 women students across the state in 2026, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in the rapidly evolving field of AI. Participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that covers foundational concepts of AI, machine learning, data analysis, and ethical considerations in technology. The curriculum is designed to be accessible, ensuring that women from diverse educational backgrounds can participate and benefit. The phase 1 of the program was initiated at Ramadevi Women’s University with training initiation for woman students, in the presence of Dr Lita Mohapatra, Dr Debabala Swain, Smt Sushree Mishra, other faculty members and students.

In addition to technical skills, the program will emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration—skills that are essential in any professional setting. Workshops, hands-on projects, and mentorship opportunities will be integral components of the program, allowing participants to apply their learning in real-world scenarios and build a robust professional network.
