Chandigarh, 21st August 2025:
EcoPravah 2025 – Punjab’s First Climate Week reached a powerful milestone with its Climate Walk & Pledge Wall at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh. The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of students, startups, ecosystem partners, investors, academia, policymakers, and citizens, all united by one cause — to walk together for the climate and pledge for a sustainable future.
The morning felt almost divinely aligned with the movement — a light drizzle on and off, cool breeze, and fresh energy in the air, setting the perfect stage for climate warriors to come together.
The walk was graced by Shri Sanjay Tandon Ji, Co-Incharge Himachal Pradesh BJP & Member National Executive, BJP, who encouraged students to take small but consistent steps for climate protection — saving water, keeping surroundings clean, planting trees, and inspiring others to join the movement. His words resonated strongly with the youth, motivating them to adopt climate-conscious habits as a way of life.
More than 200 participants including students from St. Kabir School Chandigarh, DPS Chandigarh, Dass & Brown School Panchkula, PEC Chandigarh, and several other schools & colleges joined the walk. The Pledge Wall became a symbol of collective responsibility, where participants committed themselves to climate action with personal promises.
