The Conclave 2025 Wraps on a Powerful High Note

New Delhi – 18 September 2025: The Conclave 2025, hosted by Pratidin Media Network at The Ashok, New Delhi, concluded with high energy and intense, wide-ranging discussion on security, development, health, politics, and governance. The final address, delivered by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh (AAP), capped off a day that set a strong, provocative tone for what promises to be a consequential gathering.

The event opened with a lamp-lighting ceremony featuring Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Jayanta Baruah (Chairman, Pratidin Media Network), setting a spirit of reflection and purpose. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar praised Pratidin’s commitment to neutral journalism and described the Northeast as “Deva Moola,” while urging media to foster hope, not fear.

In the “Northeast at the Borders” session, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Rana Pratap Kalita, Prof. M. Amarjeet Singh, and Dr. Mirza Zulfiqur Rahman (moderated by Mrinal Talukdar) discussed infrastructure, youth engagement, boundary settlements, and the role of Northeast communities as bridges of culture and economy.

Actor Suniel Shetty delivered a warm, personal conversation on cinema, tradition, family, discipline, and the importance of staying grounded. He also spoke about Hera Pheri 3 and expressed hope for family-oriented storytelling in Indian cinema.

Politically charged moments came from Gaurav Gogoi (INC) in his criticism of BJP’s governance in Assam, noting unfulfilled promises around ST status, youth unemployment, and ecological concerns. He contrasted Rahul Gandhi’s grassroots work with what he painted as the BJP’s absence during crises, while laying out priorities for 2026: health, education, accountability.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal, in “Trade, Commerce and Beyond,” predicted India’s economy could reach US$ 30–35 trillion by 2047, citing decisive leadership, GST reform, and MSME support. He called the development in the Northeast over the past decade “historic” and noted PM Modi’s frequent visits were part of delivering on connectivity.

In “Dealing with Cancer: Care and Cure,” personal stories of resilience (including that of survivor Jina Rajkumari Goswami) mixed with expert insight. Dr. Tapan Saikia spoke on advances in Assam’s healthcare reducing patient travel burdens; others emphasized early detection, palliative care, and awareness.

The panel “Floods, Dams, and Power Politics in Northeast India” traced Assam’s recurring flood crises to structural and historical roots (including the 1950 earthquake), and argued embankment-based solutions are now inadequate. Speakers called for regionally tailored disaster planning and governance reforms.

The finale by Sanjay Singh (AAP) was fiery. He reiterated AAP’s claims around its achievements: free electricity, clean drinking water, education, and high-quality schools. He accused the BJP of “defaming and jailing” AAP members, alleged voter list manipulation in Delhi (claiming 42,000 votes removed), warned of returning blackouts and artificial floods, and urged citizens to stay alert.
