ANANTAPUR, September 15, 2026: Dr. Kalyan Ram, Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at KIMS Saveera Hospital, Anantapur, has received the ‘Emergency Medicine Influencer Award’ , a national-level recognition for his efforts to create public awareness on emergency medical care through social media.
The award was presented at the SACTEM national conference held in Lucknow , in recognition of Dr. Kalyan Ram’s efforts to take emergency medicine-related information to the public through social media platforms. His awareness initiatives focus on basic steps to be taken during medical emergencies, life-saving techniques and the importance of seeking timely medical care.
Dr. Kalyan Ram received the award from Amit Kumar Ghosh, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Dr. Pinky Jowell, IAS, Secretary, Medical Health and Family Welfare Department and Mission Director, National Health Mission.
Taking emergency care closer to the public
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kalyan Ram said his objective was to make information on emergency medicine simple and accessible to the public and help people take the right action at the right time during emergencies.
The recognition at the national level is a matter of pride for KIMS Saveera Hospital and the medical fraternity in Anantapur, hospital representatives said.
