Geetanjali and Dr. Sehar Om Parkash Redefine Global Glamour and Service at Cannes 2026

Geetanjali Om Parkash and Dr. Sehar Om Parkash transformed their Cannes Film Festival 2026 entrance into a historic moment for Indian women on the world stage. The saas–bahu duo combined leadership, medical distinction and pageant success to present a unified vision: accomplishment knows no age and professional excellence can wear couture.

Geetanjali’s story is one of long‑term leadership and renewed public prominence. At 59, she is Managing Director of the Dr. Om Parkash Group of Eye Institutes, an institution rooted in six decades of eye‑care service. In 2026 she added Mrs. International World Classic to her list of accolades, following titles such as Mrs. Empowerment and Most Exotic National Costume. Her Cannes gown, “Midnight Fortress,” was intentionally declarative: strapless with a sculpted bodice, deep black tiered peplums, delicate diamond accents and a striking draped collar. The look combined couture refinement with the visual language of authority.

Dr. Sehar Om Parkash brought a parallel but distinct blend of credentials to Cannes. A Gold‑Medal winner in her master’s program, Sehar is a maxillofacial, oculoplasty and aesthetic surgeon who leads practice, research and innovation as Executive Director of the family’s ophthalmic group. Alongside medicine she has become a rising face in global fashion, walking major runways and working with haute couture names. For the festival she selected “Pantheon Aurorae,” a luminous silver‑blue gown inspired by the dawn over water, detailed with crystals, sculpted corsetry, pearls and flowing organza that suggested tidal movement. The dress echoed her name’s meaning — first light — and signaled a balance of clinical precision and creative expression.

Together their Cannes debut suggested a broader cultural narrative. Geetanjali demonstrated that maturity can be a platform for new accomplishments; Sehar illustrated that medical leadership and fashion influence can coexist. Their presence highlighted modern India’s evolving female leadership: focused on service, entrepreneurialism and visibility on global platforms.

Off the red carpet, both women continue sustained humanitarian engagement, notably free eye camps, prosthetic eye initiatives and support systems for survivors of violence. Their Cannes appearance was therefore more than glamour — it was a statement of values: resilience, care and cross‑generational collaboration.
