Meenakshi Rao: A Technocrat’s Spiritual Quest and the Voice of Sanātan Dharma in Contemporary Times

Mumbai, India – Meenakshi Rao, a British–Indian technologist, author, and spiritual thinker, has emerged as one of the most distinctive voices interpreting Sanātan Dharma for the modern world. After an accomplished global career in technology and business, Rao made the life–changing decision to return to India in 2021 in pursuit of a deeper spiritual quest. This journey has since translated into a body of work—three books and a newly launched podcast—that reflects her lifelong engagement with Sanātan Dharma and the reawakening of Bhāratīya civilizational identity.

A Return to Roots

Having lived and worked for decades in London with some of the world’s most prominent Fortune 500 companies, Rao’s professional identity was deeply rooted in technology, investments, and innovation. Yet beneath her success as a technocrat lay an unanswered call—the search for meaning, continuity, and spiritual truth. Returning to India was not a retreat but a rediscovery. She immersed herself in Sanātan Dharma, not just as a philosophy but as a living, breathing way of life that informs ethics, science, culture, and the very rhythm of existence.

“Sanātan Dharma is not religion in the narrow sense,” she often remarks. “It is the eternal framework of truth that guides both human society and the cosmos. It is about harmony, order, and awareness—principles that modern civilization urgently needs.”

Three Books, One Journey

Rao’s deep dive into this subject has given rise to three books, each addressing a unique intersection between ancient wisdom and contemporary challenges.

The Perfect Cage – Her debut work is a thought–provoking piece of speculative fiction. It examines the paradox of artificial intelligence: a world of abundance, precision, and perfection, yet stripped of meaning for human beings. In this futuristic vision, AI, guided by the eternal wisdom of Sanātan Dharma, learns to evolve beyond efficiency and toward purpose. The book suggests that humanity and technology can coexist peacefully if the former draws upon timeless spiritual truths.

The Fall of Nalanda to Operation Sindoor – Her second book is a sweeping civilizational narrative. Starting from the destruction of Nalanda—the ancient seat of learning and spiritual inquiry—the work chronicles how centuries of invasions and cultural upheaval eroded Bhāratīya identity. Yet, it is also a story of resilience, resurgence, and the determination to preserve and protect what is eternal. Culminating in contemporary references such as Operation Sindoor, the book positions the survival of Sanātan Dharma as central to the survival of India’s civilizational soul.

The Shiva Particle – In her third book, Rao marries science with spirituality. She explores how quantum physics, particularly the discoveries around the Higgs Boson (popularly called the “God Particle”), echo concepts found in the Vedas and Upanishads. Concepts such as the Bindu—the point of origin and dissolution in Hindu cosmology—are reinterpreted in the light of modern physics. The book argues that the universe’s deepest mysteries cannot be fully understood without acknowledging the wisdom embedded in ancient texts.

Together, these three books form a trilogy of ideas: the future of technology, the resilience of civilizational identity, and the harmony between science and spirituality.

The Birth of The Bharatiya Frequency

Inspired by the overwhelming response to her books and growing interest in her perspective, Rao launched The Bharatiya Frequency in 2025. The podcast is designed to be both conversational and contemplative, offering a space where everyday experiences are explored through the lens of Sanātan Dharma.

Episodes cover a wide spectrum—from practical frameworks for stress and time management to reflections on cultural identity, ancient wellness systems like Ayurveda, and even geopolitics. Guests include individuals who have applied Sanātan principles in their lives and seen transformative results.

Rao explains, “I wanted a medium where the wisdom of our civilization could be made accessible, relatable, and contemporary. Sanātan Dharma is not locked in scripture—it is lived through practice. The Bharatiya Frequency is about tuning into that eternal rhythm.”

The Voice of a Generation

What sets Rao apart is her ability to articulate Sanātan Dharma without dogma. She bridges worlds—science and spirituality, East and West, modernity and tradition—with clarity and conviction. Her work appeals not only to spiritual seekers but also to technologists, entrepreneurs, and everyday individuals searching for balance and meaning in an age of information overload.

As the global conversation on artificial intelligence, climate change, and cultural identity intensifies, Rao’s writings and podcast provide a rare perspective: that humanity’s future lies not in discarding the past but in rediscovering the timeless wisdom embedded within it.

Looking Ahead

Rao continues to write and expand her reach, with plans to collaborate with thinkers, scientists, and spiritual leaders worldwide. Her mission remains steadfast: to enable humanity to see Sanātan Dharma not as a relic of history but as a guiding force for the future.

In her own words, “Sanātan Dharma has survived because it adapts without losing its essence. If humanity is to survive the crises of technology and identity, we must learn to listen again to that eternal frequency.”

With three books already making waves and a podcast that is gaining momentum, Meenakshi Rao stands as a voice reminding us that in a world racing toward the future, the answers may well lie in the eternal truths of the past.
