Gauri Pandit’s Debut Novel ‘Dear Mr. Incognito’ Explores the Unexpected Intersection of Corporate Life and Domesticity

Clever Fox Publishing is excited to announce the release of “Dear Mr. Incognito,” a witty, insightful, and heartwarming debut novel by Gauri Pandit. In this uniquely engaging book, Pandit blends the worlds of corporate strategy and domestic wisdom in a story that is as humorous as it is thought-provoking.

At the center of “Dear Mr. Incognito” is Jayam, a 40-something corporate executive who finds himself inadvertently included in the email thread of nine women. What starts as a simple mistake soon becomes an eye-opening journey for Jayam, as he navigates the advice, experiences, and life lessons shared among the women. From kitchenomics to lipstick purchases, Jayam begins to realize that there is more to learn from these everyday domestic conversations than he ever could have imagined.

A Humorous Take on Corporate Life Meets Domestic Wisdom: The novel follows Jayam, who initially considers junking the emails or replying curtly to stop the barrage of notifications. But instead, curiosity takes over, and he starts to read, absorb, and even apply the wisdom shared by the women in their emails. As Jayam gets drawn deeper into their discussions, he finds unexpected connections between his professional life and their domestic lives.

“Dear Mr. Incognito” explores the often overlooked commonalities between business and household management. For Jayam, the women’s seemingly mundane discussions about shopping, packaging, and daily chores lead to fresh insights that help him manage his factories, improve product packaging, and even impress his Managing Director. Pandit cleverly shows that the skills required to run a household are not so different from those needed to navigate corporate boardrooms.

A Blend of Wit, Real-Life Insights, and Relatable Characters: With sharp wit and a keen understanding of human relationships, Pandit’s novel invites readers to see the humor and wisdom in everyday life. The book is filled with relatable characters and situations that reflect the lives of modern professionals juggling work and home responsibilities.

The story also highlights the dynamics of female friendship, the strength in shared experiences, and the importance of recognizing the value in all perspectives—whether they come from the corporate world or the home.

About the Author: Gauri Pandit was born in Mumbai, raised across Naval Bases in India, and now calls Gurgaon her home.
