AAI’s CSR Initiative Brings Modern Technology, Robotics and Experiential Learning to Government School Students Across Three Districts of Gujarat.
In a significant initiative towards promoting scientific education and technological innovation, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has supported the establishment of 20 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Robotics Laboratories in government schools across Gujarat under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
The project covers 20 schools across Gandhinagar, Mehsana and Mahisagar districts, providing 10000+ students with access to modern robotics equipment, scientific learning resources and practical technology-based education.
Recognising the importance of preparing young learners for an increasingly technology-driven future, AAI has extended comprehensive CSR support for laboratory equipment, teacher training, student workshops and technical assistance.
Inauguration Marks a New Chapter in STEM Learning
A significant milestone in this educational initiative was marked on 7 October 2026, with the inauguration of the STEM & Robotics Laboratory at Swami Vivekanand Vidhya Vihar, Gandhinagar. The laboratory was officially inaugurated by Mr. V. K. Seth, General Manager (ATM) & Officer-in-Charge, Airports Authority of India, SVPI Airport, Ahmedabad. The occasion was further honoured by the participation of Mr. Gaurang Nathwani, Mr. Dilip Khandelwal, Mr. Apurv Gohil, and Mr. Mayur Mishra, alongside officials from the Education Department, school representatives, educators, students, and other prominent guests. The ceremony celebrated a collective vision of bringing advanced scientific and technological learning opportunities to young minds.
The Airports Authority of India’s Head Office CSR Committee has played a pivotal role in bringing this initiative to life, with the support and encouragement of Mr. V. K. Gupta and Mr. Amit Agrahari, CSR Secretary, AAI. Supported through AAI’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme and undertaken in partnership with Ghoomar Kala Evam Shiksha Seva Sansthan, the initiative seeks to make practical, technology-driven education more accessible to government school students. By introducing modern STEM and robotics learning facilities, the project aims to cultivate scientific curiosity, strengthen problem-solving abilities, and inspire the next generation of innovators across Gujarat.
Encouraging Innovation Beyond Classrooms
These laboratories aim to transform conventional learning into an engaging, hands-on experience where students can explore robotics, engineering concepts, scientific experiments and innovative problem-solving.
Beyond establishing laboratories, the initiative focuses on empowering teachers through specialised training and enabling students to develop practical skills essential for the future.
This project represents an important milestone in AAI’s commitment to educational development and community empowerment.
With its successful launch, the initiative also establishes a strong foundation for exploring similar educational interventions in the future.
Through this CSR initiative, the Airports Authority of India continues to demonstrate its commitment to nurturing young innovators and contributing towards a technologically advanced and self-reliant India.
